Social Security Disability with IRA

While collecting Social Security Disability Income, do I have the right to take out some money from IRA retirement fund without affecting the amount of disability income?
A:
Yes, IRA withdrawals are not entered into the calculation and therefore have no effect on the benefits. In fact, the IRS gives special favorable tax treatment to early IRA withdrawals taken while disabled that are used to cover the cost of health insurance premiums.
