Q: I just need medical coverage for a few months in case of a really big medical problems like an auto accident or injury. I do not need prescription coverage or doctors visits. Also, I want to be sure that I do not need to get a pre-authorization to use the insurance. What is my best option?

A: The insurance plan known as "Simple STM" is designed exactly as you describe. It provides solid inexpensive "plain vanilla" medical coverage on a month to month basis as needed, up to 12 months. All of the details and enrollment are available online.
