“Secure STM”, “Select STM” and “Secure Med STM”

Q: I am confused by the different product names for policies issues by HPA. What is the difference between “Secure STM”, “Select STM” and “Secure Med STM”?

A: Yes, the varying product names used by Health Plan Administrators (HPA) can be confusing but the overall effort is to make it easy to find the best short term health insurance plan in your specific situation by having the online quote system guide you automatically to the appropriate product based on your specific inquiry. HPA has decided to cease using the name "Secure Med STM" for the short term medical insurance plan underwritten by Standard Security Life Insurance Company of New York. For trademark purposes, we have changed the product name to "Secure STM". The remaining two names are similar policies offered by different insurers but you probably would not notice the difference since all of the policyholder services are handled directly by HPA.
