Immediate health insurance

Q: How long does it take until health insurance is in force?

A: If you apply online and pay by credit card at FreedomBenefits.net, most types of coverage becomes effective at midnight. You will receive an e-mail immediately that confirms the coverage with a temporary ID card and the permanent ID card is mailed on the next business day.

In some cases a longer underwritning time is required. If to coverage you are considering does not say "immediate issue" then make inquiries about the underwriting time.
