Approval time for life insurance

Q: I applied for credit life insurance from Guaranteed Trust Life online at MedSave.com. I need proof of insurance for the lender. How can I check the status?
A: Approval for this product takes a few days but the your savings in insurance costs (as compared with immediate issue insurance) is worth the short delay. Status is usually provided by e-mail and you should receive a few e-mails from the underwriter from the time you apply until the time the insurance is approved a few days later. If you do not receive an email in that time frame, you may call customer service at 1-800-338-7452 to get a status report. The enrollment adviser (OnlineAdviser service n this case) does not have direct access to your application status as a matter of privacy.
