Q: My employer just raised the deductible on our HSA type group health insurance to $5000. If I sign up for both the ValueMed and ValueHealth plan to get more coverage, can I still be eligible for the HSA deduction?
A: Yes, ValueMed and ValueHealth are low cost supplemental health insurance plans that pay cash benefits to you and do permit you to remain eligible for a Health Savings Account even if your total insurance benefit is more than your total expenses. The price for each of these averages about $50 per month for most people under age 50. Click "Fast Quote" at MedSave.com and then select your state to check availability, prices and details of this coverage.
