Short term life insurance for travel

Q: I am looking for a short term life insurance that covers international travel.

A: The "Liaison Traveler" policy on the international medical insurance page at www.MedSave.com provides coverage up to $500,000 of accidental death protection. The policy can be purchased for 3, 6 or 12 months at a time. It is inexpensive; an average policy costs about $40 per month for the maximum $500,000 coverage. The policy also includes up to $500 of trip interruption insurance and up to $250 of lost baggage insurance. The reason for the low cost is that travel accident insurance does not cover death due to natural causes.
