Fortis discount plan problems

Q: I enrolled in the Fortis health discount plan and never received anything by mail. My credit card was charged four times.

A: This was formerly a good PPO discount plan that went downhill apparently when the company reorganized its support personnel or management approach. We have received a handful of similar complaints within the past two months. OnlineAdviser no longer supports enrollment in this discount plan and recommends that users switch to any of the better plans at www.ehealthdiscountplan.com . You can, of course, notify your credit card company to stop the charges. To try to cancel the problem plan directly, call (800) 800-1212 and ask for the discount card product manager. There is apparently no other member support telephone number.
