Lower rate for Georgia Insurance

Q: I moved from Florida to Georgia where health insurance is cheaper but the plan administrator says the rate on my policy will not change. I have 5 months to go on a 12 month policy. Can I just take a new policy before my expiration date?

A: Yes, assuming you have no significant ongoing claims, just reapply for a new immediate issue 12 month policy at FreedomBenefits.net and then cancel your current coverage. There is a good chance that you will also benefit by locking in today's rate for another twelve months to avoid a price increase in 2007.
