Insurance application without payment

Q: I applied for insurance online but I did not hear if the application was approved. I want to provide payment by credit card as soon as I hear that the application was accepted.

A: There is a procedural "catch 22" here. The application will not be reviewed or approved until you provide payment authorization. Following is a copy of the new explanatory message that is intended to help explain the lack of expected response: "Thank your for using FreedomBenefits.net and OnlineAdviser service. This message is sent to clarify the status of your online insurance application. 1) The application you submitted online is apparently complete as submitted. You do not need to sign or mail a copy of the application. You do not need to take any further action or provide any additional information unless specifically requested to do so by the insurance underwriter. 2) No payment was received with your application. Your insurance application will not be reviewed or approved until the initial payment is received. If you plan to mail a payment, please confirm receipt of your payment by making a telephone call to the insurance underwriter's office. To speed up the application approval and remove the possibility of having the payment "lost in the mail" , you may wish to provide an authorization for credit card or electronic check payment. This authorization may be provided by telephone or fax to my office or directly to the insurance underwriter's office."
