Q: How does ValueHealth cover doctor's visits?
A: ValueHealth is a low cost limited benefit hospitalization insurance. That means that it covers expenses while you are in the hospital. Expenses incurred while not in a hospital (like regular outpatient doctor's visits) are not covered. For outpatient coverage for expenses like doctor's visits see the companion policy called ValueMed or any of the major medical insurance policies at MedSave.com. It is important that whenever possible to combine a hospitalization policy with an outpatient coverage or another comprehensive major medical policy.
