Q:
We need health insurance coverage for about two months while my husband is between teaching jobs. We are both 42, are perfectly healthy and we live in Tennessee. What is the best policy that is less expensive than COBRA?
A:
A short term health insurance would be perfect in this situation and will be priced at less than half of the cost of COBRA coverage. Currently the best coverage and rates for short term medical insurance is available under the “Secure STM” policy at http://medsave.com/Secure-STM.htm .
