Markel Insurance policy number

originally posted: 12/12/2006  revised:

Q: I just bought accident insurance from Markel Insurance but all i have to show is a cut-out ID card from the packet but there is no policy number. I have to write the policy number down for my school's sport eligibility form.

A: The policy number is listed in the confirmation e-mail sent to you at the time of enrollment. The policy number is also included in the policy itself. Markel Insurance issues several of the most popular limited benefit or supplemental accident insurance plans in the U.S. and each uses a slightly different procedure for enrollment confirmation.

If you enrolled online at FreedomBenefits.net or Basichealthinsurance.net and need a copy of that e-mail or the actual policy, please let me know.

Check your spam folder if you are missing a health insurance confirmation e-mail. Repeated use of the word "insurance" sometimes causes these messages to be filtered.
