Maine to Florida short term insurance

Q: I am moving from Maine to Florida and need short term medical insurance for four months. I see that many of the plans are for six months. What is available for four months?

A: There is a greater number of high quality plans available in Florida than in Maine, although all policies provide national coverage. If you can use the new Florida address, you will likely wind up with better coverage at a lower price. It only takes a few minutes to see the prices and enroll online for any of the insurance plans that are pre-filtered for quality and value at  All of the policies are available for four months. Most people use an automated month-to-month payment by electronic check or credit card and simply cancel the coverage when they no longer need it.
