Q: Before I enrolling American Health Shield insurance, I would like a brochure for further information on this health plan

A: This information is all available online from www.FreedomBenefits.net . This is the most popular short term health insurance at FreedomBenefits.net for younger applicants because of the discount pricing for that age group. The brochures are available in PDF format at http://FreedomBenefits.net/American%20Health%20Shield%20Short%20Term%20Medical%20Insurance%20forms/americanhealthshieldforms.htm . A sample policy certificate is available at http://www.FreedomBenefits.net/images\american health shield sample certificate.pdf . This is a generic multi-state policy that may not contain all of the state-specific provisions applicable in your state. An article about new low cost policy options for American Health Shield policies is now at http://FreedomBenefits.net/articles/American-Health-Shield-Lowest-Cost-Insurance-Options.htm . American Health Shield insurance is available only to U.S. citizens. Other short term medical insurance plans including insurance for non-U.S. citizens can be found at http://FreedomBenefits.net/short-term-health-insurance.html . This is a simple “plain vanilla” health insurance policy cloned from the largest plan of this type. This health plan specifically targets younger applicants by undercutting the rates of competitors. EDITOR'S NOTE: In January 2006, this policy was removed from the market and replaced with "SIMPLE STM". The "American Health Shield" brand may return in the future. Details are posted at FreedomBenefits.net
