International medical insurance improvements

by Tony Novak, MBA, MT, OnlineAdviser at Freedom Benefits revised 11/29/2011

The leading provider of medical insurance for overseas travelers, International Medical Group (IMG), announced substantial improvement of its plans for 2004.  Although printed materials are not yet available, the details are available online at www.freedombenefits.net by clicking on "IMG" or at imglobal.com.  Coverage is available for citizens of any country traveling outside of their home country. International coverage is not provided by most U.S. health insurance plans.

The most significant changes are:

1) The shortest period of coverage is now 10 days and coverage is proceed on a daily basis. This makes coverage for short overseas trips and vacations less expensive.

2) Coverage for treatment of sudden recurrence of preexisting medical conditions is increased to $5,000. This is a significant improvement over prior plans.

The 2004 medical insurance plans reflect a modest 6% rate increase over prior year rates.
