Basic Health Insurance is a revolutionary type of guaranteed issue health insurance coverage to all working people regardless of medical history in approved states. This insurance has no deductibles or co-payments and benefits are paid in addition to the benefits from other health plans. Coverage is issued directly online at www.basichealthinsurance.net for individual insurance. Group coverage is available with a mail-in application through the employer. As the name implies, this insurance provides a limited dollar benefit for specific medical procedures. The insurance is underwritten by A-rated Markel Insurance Company. Coverage is available in the following states as of January 2005.

Individual or Family Coverage is available in AL, AK, AZ, DC, DE, GA, HI, IL, IN, IA, KY, MI, MS, MO, MT, NE, ND, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, WI, WY. Approval is pending in AR, CA, CO, FL, MD, NV, NC, OR, SD, TX, UT. Group

Coverage (billed through the employer) for Groups with 2 or more eligible employees in AL, AK, AR, AZ, DC, DE, GA, HI, IL, IA, KY, MD, MI MS, MO, MT, NE, NM, NC, ND, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI, WY.

Groups with 51 or more eligible employees can be issued in CO, FL, IN, MA and NV.
